This quality first floor apartment (no lift) is in a beautiful red brick Georgian house overlooking Sloane Gardens.

This is a fine location – you are just off Sloane Square (centre of the universe for the London upper-crust!) and its tube (District and Circle lines) and 2 minutes from The Kings Road with its fashion boutiques and buzzy bars and restaurants.

Elegant Knightsbridge and Harrods are a 15 minute walk at the top of Sloane Street.

The flat combines modern paintings and design objects with antiques pieces of furniture to produce an elegant yet homey atmosphere and is ideal for a small family or 2 couples travelling together. As well as the main bedroom there’s a good sofa-bed in the living room. There is one bathroom – but it is only accessible via the bedroom.

The large elegant reception room (19ft6 x 18ft, 5.95m x 5.5m) is light and bright with tall windows opening onto a small balcony overlooking Lower Sloane Street and Sloane Gardens.

The room has an ornamental fireplace, a sofa which converts into a comfortable double bed and two classic chrome and leather Wassily chairs either side of a low Perspex coffee table, a cosy reading corner with comfortable leather armchair and a 6 person dining table.

There is a flat screen TV with satellite system and VCR and an iPod dock.

The modern, stainless steel, all electric kitchen has all the expected appliances including a dishwasher and washer/dryer, but no microwave..

The bedroom (14ft x 10ft6, 4.25m x 3.2m) has a 5ft wide bed and built-in cupboards giving lots of storage space – it overlooks a pleasant rear garden.

The bathroom has a bath + hand shower, basin, bidet and loo. It is accessed through the bedroom up a short flight of stairs – these are quite steep and may be difficult for the old or infirm.

The flat is in a great position. You are on Sloane Square where there are some very smart shops (Tiffany’s, Cartier, Pringle, Hackett’s etc.) and 2 minutes from The Kings Road with its blend of high fashion and street-wise culture reminiscent of the 60s, numerous shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants.

Ranelagh Gardens and the grounds of The Royal Hospital (where the annual Chelsea Flower Show is held) which are open to the public are a 5 minute stroll.

Are you into antiques? Walk along Pimlico Road where you will find over 30 fine antique and carpet shops. When they stop at Orange Square you’ll find Mozart Terrace and the house where he wrote his earliest compositions at the age of 7. Opposite is La Poule au Pot, claimed by some to be one of London’s most romantic restaurants!
